Ultradata and Cuscal have collaborated and built on their strong partnership to deliver the New Payments Platform PayTo project, and successful compliance outcomes for mutual clients.
With internal discussions and designs commencing in February 2020, the project took over two years to deliver, and resulted with the efficacious launch of the NPP PayTo service on November 1 last year.
This project collaboration was of significant importance to all parties involved, as meeting the New Payments Platform Australia (NPPA) compliance requirements was of ‘key reputational importance’, as an NPP Sponsor for Cuscal, and as a solution provider for Ultradata.
As a newly innovated digital banking service provision, the project involved significant new development and thorough testing to deliver the mandated core technical infrastructure for the platform.
Bringing together the right technical expertise at the right time, to navigate and address complex technical requirements was paramount.
As with any prototype work, foreseen and unforeseen risk exposures are generally planned for and expected. What made this project collaboration so successful in its risk mitigation, were the timely, well-structured and regular team meetings that identified the design, development and infrastructure risk exposures as early as possible, and talk through their impact up and down the supply chains.
Fuelled and driven by both teams was the ‘leading-edge’ understanding of the NPP Payment rails.
From design, through to development and quality assurance, as well as any form of troubleshooting required, this multi-faceted know how was critical in the timely progression of the project.
Underpinning the solution were two set of teams of highly qualified network specialists, which ensured that any technical challenge was dealt with quickly and efficiently promoting the ability to conduct continuous testing.
A further overlay of the project success were sound project management and communication skills, that delivered clear and open instructions to all stakeholders and working groups, at every critical point of the project journey.
Ultradata was able to test and trial their software solution and take it to market with a leading advantage and with confidence, and Cuscal created an NPP sponsor industry benchmark that added further brand confidence into its already well established and successful brand.
This represents the second major and positive project with Cuscal as industry partners. As a result of Cuscal’s App coming to its ‘end of life’ in July 2022, the two brands joined forces once again and migrated 12 clients from Cuscal’s bank App to Ultradata’s smart and intuitive app platform, Ultracs App 2.
As a collective, the significant milestones achieved in the last 12 months has set the segway for more successful project collaborations well into the future.
