Meet the Team: Nathania Lee

Meet the designer behind Ultradata's market-leading UI

Nathania Lee is a Digital Designer in our Malaysia office who specialises in UI design. She contributes her design expertise to shape the look and feel of Ultradata’s digital banking solutions, including My Viewpoint 3 and the Ultracs App. Nathania thrives on the challenge of bringing concepts and projects to life through her creative work.

Since joining Ultradata in early 2022, Nathania has showcased her exceptional design skills, driven by her commitment to supporting a mission that delivers impactful solutions.

"Digital banking - whether through online banking or an app - plays a vital role in everyone's daily lives. In helping to improve the digital banking user experience, I am helping to improve the daily lives of our Client's customers - and making the world a better place. This is what gets me excited about coming to work at Ultradata.

Nathania began her journey in the Innovation team, where she was active in designing Ultradata's digital banking solutions. She later transitioned to the Digital Services team, where she now collaborates with Ultradata’s clients to create and implement customised digital banking solutions. Her work combines best practices in UX design with each institution's unique brand and business requirements.

Outside of work, Nathania likes to keep fit. You'll often find her hiking on weekends - if the weather permits. She also enjoys travelling and building her interpersonal skills through reading motivational books.                                   

Nathania's interest in self-improvement shines through at Ultradata, where she is always willing to share her knowledge with colleagues and Clients to improve the overall skillset of the Ultradata family.

UI, UX and Career Development

With UI and UX design a continually evolving field, Nathania constantly seeks opportunities to grow professionally and leverage technology to become more well-rounded in her role. Throughout her time at Ultradata, she has honed her coding skills to complement and better communicate her design expertise.

"Right now, everything is about new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. So, technical knowledge will be increasingly important to non-technical roles in the next few years, so I've put my hand up to do more UI development work at Ultradata.

Since joining Ultradata, I have grown as a front-end developer, working with HTML and CSS 3. Improving my coding knowledge has made me more effective in executing my designs and assisting clients with their UI requirements."

Nathania attributes her ongoing professional development achievements to the growth mindset fostered by Ultradata.

"Ultradata has helped a lot in improving my development skills. I work with some fantastic UI developers in KL, and we continuously collaborate and share knowledge.

Ultradata also provides us with ongoing training sessions, which further develop our skills and keep us abreast of the current trends in UI and UX development."

Ultimately, while her extensive skillset pays the bills (while setting new standards in digital banking, no less), Nathania remains a creative at heart.

"I'm more a right-brain person, not a left-brain person, I'm more creative by nature. I enjoy aesthetics and visuals, exploring my creativity and applying it to different design approach".
